Thelma and Louise REMAKE! WTF Hollywood?

This has to be one of the most terrible ideas I've heard in a while. A "Thelma and Louise" Remake. Wait. It was made in 1992 and now that is considered old enough & forgettable enough to update. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

In case you're one of the few who have forgotten the film, let's have a Refresher Course. "Thelma and Louise" stared Susan Sarandon & Gena Davis (who were both nominated for Academy Awards for their work in the film) as two women who have seen their fair share of shit in their lives. The decide to make a go for it and have a weekend away. They meet Brad Pitt and It then turns into a run from the law after they are accused of murdering a guy. That's pretty much the film.

Now they want to remake the film and stick Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and Amber Heard (The Stepfather) in these roles. Are You Fucking Kidding Me?

I have nothing against Amber, she's someone I have worked with and talked with through out my filming of "Never Back Down", but I think this casting is just ignorant. They want to stick two pretty girls in the film and make it hip.

The film wasn't about being hip, it was about standing up for yourself and taking your life back. I doubt this chick from 'Gossip Girl' will have the acting chops to stand and deliver like Susan Sarandon. I just don't understand why they'd destroy a film that isn't even 2 decades old yet.

I pity the people that will see this trash film because they obviously have no idea what good films consist of.

by the way, the title of this new masterpiece is "Cowgirl Bandits". Seriously.

"I haven't had a pump like that in a long time." -Australian dude. LMAO!

Well...maybe in West Hollywood. LOL.

Screamfest LA screening- Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever

I was able to screen "Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever" at this years Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Hollywood.

If you remember the original "Cabin Fever" then you know it's what put Director Eli Roth on the map. It centers around some kids in the woods & a virus that infects them.

Well, Writer/Director Ti West took on the idea and though the film is not what he intended to be (as you can listen to him explain in the video below) it is actually a gross out gore film that will make you laugh.

It's a throw-back to the 80's prom thrillers, with cheesy music, your typical High School scenarios & of course lots of blood. Producer Lauren Moews said "I believe this is the most blood ever used in a film." I couldn't tell you if that is accurate, but I can tell you there is a scene that lasts about 10 minutes & it's nothing but blood splatter.

"Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever" gives you exactly what you want. Gore, Girls, Blood, Boobs, Characters & Chaos. It's a teenage boy's fantasy film. A film he can get his mom to purchase at Wal-Mart, invite over 10 friends, eat pizza, laugh at the cheesy dialogue, they can all get crazy when they see some breasts flash on the screen & then tell everyone about the film on Monday before 1st period. But if you're over 18, you may want to check your brain at the door.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing. There are a lot of redeemable moments in the film. It's not often I sit though something in a theatre & actually find my self saying "ewww." out loud or laughing for that matter. So good for them for finding a way to mix the humor of High School stupidity & the gross out gore factors of a great B movie.

There is a reprise of two former "Cabin Fever" actors in the sequel. Rider Strong is back for a bit and Giueseppe Andrews keeps the film moving along with his quick banter & high strung energy. The rest of the cast are all newbies from the local High School. Terrific performances from Alexi Wasser, Regan Deal & Rusty Kelley. I believe with out them this film would fall far into the category of unwatchable based on acting alone. I'm glad someone in Casting had the good sense to put them in it.

Unfortunately for all you fans you'll have to wait until February 2010 before you'll be able to see this film. Doesn't look as though Lionsgate has any plans on releasing it theatrically.

ScreamFest LA Screening - The Fourth Kind- Fact or Fiction?

"The Fourth Kind" is a film. In the opening credits Milla Jovovich says "This is a Dramatization of actual events." she also adds, "What you choose to believe is up to you." or some variation.

I was completely taken away by this film. Real or not, it is a wonderful ride at the theatre. Director Olatunde Osunsanmi has taken a topic many people are interested in and actually made it more intriguing. Not many people can take a topic and make it new again.

There have been many alien type films in the past, I will choose to omit "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" for obvious reasons, but the first film that pops into mind is 1993's "Fire in the Sky". People were quite quick to dismiss the films credibility but it is a true story. Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you.

"The Fourth Kind" plays to the appeal of the "What if's".
I did a bit of research after seeing the film and I've turned up nothing about a Dr. Abigail Tyler, other then a website that tells you to see the movie, surprise. That doesn't mean that a woman who is a Doctor could have had some of these events take place in her life.

I don't know if the "Archival Footage" they claim to use is real. But I can say that they did a wonderful job of putting this film together and if you have any interest in aliens, then you will love it. It's like watching one intensely long "Unsolved Mysteries" episode.

Mila Jovovich gives a great performance and the "Archival Footage" they use, well... if that woman is an actor then she deserves an award of some kind. But being an actor myself and having been around performers for a large number of years on this planet, I can say, without a doubt, that actors love credit. If those "Archival Footage" scenes are not what they claim to be, eventually those actors will show their faces. Universal might have some kind of contract with them, but I don't think they can stop them from ever acting again. So time will tell.

One thing that I have to bring up is the constant comparison on the internet to "The Blair Witch". Yes people fell for the hype. Most people were tremendously disappointed in that film. But "The Fourth Kind" is in no way like "The Blair Witch". It isn't steady cam shots of kids running from Aliens. You won't get Nauseous or want to strangle your boyfriend for making you go to see it. But I have a feeling you will be on edge wondering what happens to the people of Nome and wondering if you or anyone you know might be a victim of an abduction. ????

I choose to believe what I want to believe. I want to leave my opinion out of this & just tell you that the film is great. Though I am apprehensive about leaving this without addressing a bit of Fact.

Over the years there have been many claims about Alien visits to our planet. I have always been interested in the TV shows & Books written on the subject. I ask you to use logic & not just speculation, imagination or religious teachings. Open your mind a moment and look at the Universe and not just at your backyard.

Human Beings are by no means the most intelligent beings in the Universe. You have to know that. If we took 500 thousand random people from around the world & told them to survive in the desert, as the Egyptians did and build a new pyramid, do you think they could do it? My guess would be no.

Also, I also need to state that I don't believe for one second that any abduction case is solely about "aliens" wanting to harm us. If (again I leave this up to speculation) there are aliens and they have civilizations like we do (which is a complete possibility, the universe is huge) Then, wouldn't you agree that just like us there are good and bad people? Couldn't their be alien races that wanted to teach and help, just as there could be a race that wanted to only harm?

It's not out of the realm of possibility. I just want to leave it open for discussion. Honestly, the only way any of us will ever know is if an Alien came forward and said who they were and why they were here. Until that day occurs, we all just have to discuss and find logical conclusions to a subject that is widely speculated.

Amelia Earhart: Fashion Icon? w/ PHOTOS

Came across this article in the Huffington Post this morning.
I was very surprised to learn that not only was Amelia Earhart the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, but she was also the First Famous Fashion Designer in the U.S.!

With the release of Fox Searchlights "Amelia" starring Hilary Swank, I felt it appropriate to share this article.

via The Huffington Post

Unlike aviators lost in the sky, fashions always come back. Among the styles recently returned from the dead are micro minis, skinny belts, jumpsuits, platform shoes -- and, now, the Amelia Earhart look.

It's been revived by Jean Paul Gaultier for the fall Hermes ready-to-wear collection soon arriving in stores, and it features shirts with narrow ties, trousers, leather pencil skirts and bomber jackets. At the Hermes show in Paris last March, models wore aviator hats and goggles with the clothes, as the roar of prop-plane engines set up beyond the catwalk filled the air. "I was inspired by a woman, I forgot her name, an American pilot with very short, wavy hair who was wearing an aviator jacket, which I love, and a little scarf that was so Hermes," Gaultier told the Associated Press.

He probably would be surprised to know that old what's her name wasn't just a style icon; she also had her own fashion label. In fact, Amelia Earhart was America's first celebrity designer, and the story of her short-lived Amelia Earhart line is the story of the start of fashion mass marketing.

NINE rehearsal trailer

NINE is gonna be Hot!
I honestly can not wait to see what Rob Marshall does with this film.

via: Ester Goldberg's Views from a Broad Blog
The Weinstein Company has released a montage of so-called rehearsal footage from the upcoming musical "Nine." Billing aside, the dancing from the film's female-centric cast seems pretty polished. There are no shots of stars Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman, or Marion Cotillard making so much as one wrong step. Perhaps the studio is just saving that for the outtakes section of the DVD.

Saw School Musical

Maryanne posted this over on her blog SPOOKY BREW

ENJOY!

Who thought this was a good idea?

Whoever it was should be made to wear one of those shock collars. If they ever suggest anything like this again, just zap them.

So I'm flipping through pages of crap & come up to one about the male star of GLEE (FOX's highly rated tween show) Cory Monteith, is now the face of Five Four. A clothing line of some sort.

Let's be honest. They are capitalizing on the show's success. I get it. But please tell me the people behind this have some kind of warped sense of humor. Are they fucking with this kid? Trying to make him act like a model to sell cloths. This is sad.

I just couldn't let this slip by with out saying something about this Cheese-tastic "Winter Spread".

Enjoy.

Editing Around the Clock

All I've been doing the past two days is edit video and prepare clips for the Download Store. My plan is to debut these new clips over the entire month of November beginning on the 1st to coincide with, hopefully, the launch of the redesigned CandyGirl Video site!

So far, I have a panty teasing/lingerie video of Malloy Martini finished, as well as a public solo masturbation video of Kobe Lee... well, it's as public as possible, she masturbated in my car as people drove by. I think it turned out pretty hot. Kobe Lee doesn't use any toys, just her hand. Seeing her slide her hand down her pants, slipping fingers into her lace micro thong and... sorry, I'm getting carried away, just order it once it's released and see for yourself, it's a smokin' hot clip! Now, I'm going to start editing some Paris Kennedy lingerie clips next. Needless to say, you'll want to bookmark our Download Store and visit it every day in the month of November for tasty clips galore. I promise, they'll be flavors to satisfy all tastes.

Yes, I've also been working very hard at creating a new CandyGirl Video site. The current one doesn't look professional to me, it could be way better! Some of the new features include: An all new color scheme (so long hot pink background), an interactive flash graphic on the homepage that let's you know what's new, a links page, larger pics on the Favorite Flavor's pages and more. Be sure to check it all out on November 1st. At least, I hope that's when I have it ready!

Working on a CandyGirl Video Soundtrack

For the past few weeks I've been assembling songs for an upcoming CandyGirl Video Soundtrack CD. I've been going thru all of the old songs I wrote under the mr.deviant name that were used on all the previous CandyGirl Video DVDs, looking for the best ones to include on the album. Most of the songs will appear as they were originally written, while others will need to be remixed.

Guaranteed to be on the soundtrack is the original theme to CandyGirl Video, entitled "The Sweet Life". This song was used on the open for most of my DVDs, it's a fast paced instrumental containing pounding drums and manic piano playing. Also guaranteed to find it's way onto the soundtrack is the theme to the "Sweet Satisfaction" series. I've always loved the techno acid sound of that track. Other songs that will find their way onto the disc include: a remix version of mr.deviant's "Techno Obsession", the song Jenni Lee performs her striptease to from the "Sweet Satisfaction Kobe Lee" DVD, the Tribute song written for Jasmine Grey and new themes recently written for Paris Kennedy and Malloy Martini.

Look for the first CandyGirl Video Soundtrack CD to be available by year's end (hopefully) on Amazon and iTunes.
