Marvel's The Avengers Empire Magazine Covers and Photos

I'll enjoy this film, no matter what.  It's got Joss Whedon behind it.

Read the article from Empire below....

Chinese New Year begins today, Monday, January 23rd, kicking of the year of the Water Dragon. Which is apropos, as Marvel's the Avengers will be fighting a water dragon when the feature film based on this Marvel comic hits the big screen in May. Today, we have a look at some neat Ang Pow packets that will be handed out at Chinese Theaters for the first six days of Chinese New Year, featuring these popular Marvel characters. We also have a look at this month's Empire Magazine covers, which feature Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), along with some fresh photos from the movie as well. Check them out below, followed by comments from producer Kevin Feige about the inclusion of Red Skull and the villains of the film.

Kevin Feige talks in Empire Magazine about the villains Marvel's the Avengers will square off against.

"Who said they were aliens. Closer...It's not Skrulls; I've been clear about that. Beyond that, we want to hide it. The identity of the alien race is not impactful. It exists in the comic books, but we're not setting up the Kree-Skrull war or anything like that."

He then comments on the Red Skull rumors.

"Was Skull vaporized at the end of the movie, or thrust into another realm? That remains to be seen. It would be fun to see Skull in the future, but he's not in this one. I do have a comment on that. It's...oh, you're breaking up!"

Marvel's the Avengers comes to theaters May 4th, 2012 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr., Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

Universal releases images at Comic-Con of SNOW WHITE and THE HUNTSMAN

Universal released the first images from Snow White and the Huntsman at San Diego Comic-Con.
It's another dark take on Snow White.  If you don't remember, in 1997 there was Snow White: A Tale of Terror with Sigourney Weaver.  It didn't do well, though it was pretty damn dark.

Regardless, Universal wants to get interest in their new take on the story before rival Relativity releases their currently Untitled Snow White adaptation. (if you'd like to see Lily Collins in Relativity's Snow White "look" click the link.)
Relativity does have a good cast as well, but...I'm more interested in seeing a sword wheeling Snow White over another Bitch in a Ball Gown.
