Harris and Lobit will both act in the film, along with Chris Backus, Jennifer Blanc (who is also a producer on this film), AJ Bowen, Brianne Davis, Dana Daurey, Kamala Jones, Chris Meyer and Tanya Newbould. Jay Lobit and Bill Allison will serve as executive producers.
The film is being produced by Blancbiehn Productions, Three Little Birds and Hollywood Treasures Inc.
The flick is said to be an 80's style horror comedy in the vein of April Fool's Day, Clue and Happy Birthday to Me along with some other fun stuff!
Pretty damn amazing. Not gonna lie. Everything from the amazing Dealer Room to the great Celebs that came out to do panels and meet & greets. Where else can you get a tropical climate, woman in bikinis by the pool and Jake Busey drinking it up at the bar while Elvia poses with a Troll!
Spooky Empire does know how to throw a convention and I know it just keeps getting bigger & bigger every year. Really great to hang out with so many wonderful friends & co-workers and just have a fun time wondering around and meeting people! So many talented individuals making great t-shirts & films out there! I love the atmosphere!

Have you ever said "I have the best idea for a film."? Have you ever actually followed through with that idea? If you have, then you probably found out that it's not as easy as people make it seem.
Right now I am back in Florida and in the bowls of finishing my first short film 'Candy'. Though people have said, many times, don't bother with shorts, they're not really films, I am here to tell you they are all wrong.
I never saw 'Candy' as anything but a short film. Quick and to the point. Stylized more like a 50's sitcom then anything. But with the edgy style of Hitchcock or even a Twilight Zone episode.
'Candy' is a labor of love. I have always wanted that 1950's life. The 'Leave it to Beaver' perfection. Knowing full well it could not happen, the next best thing is to create it. I am quite sure this will not be my only visit to that time period in my career.
I want the audience to forget about every myth & genre specific plot they've seen in the past when they sit down to watch 'Candy'. Horror started in a place where the thrill and anticipation was a giant part of the plot. Let's be honest here. The genre has become over run by blood and tits. There is nothing wrong with gore films, I enjoy them. I just decided that I wanted to bring us back to a place where the genre had class, sexy style and an allure.
Right now, I am forging forward with my production and I can not thank everyone involved up to this point enough.
Currently we are still finishing up the edit and making sure things are clean. We will not have this out to the public until September (we hope) and I am working on what Venue's will be hosting a screening.

Hype can be a huge downfall for a release like this. People may be hesitant because of the amount of time it took to come out. Trust me, the money you put into this will be well worth it.
Trick 'r Treat is by far one of the best films to come out in this genre in 10 years at least. It's intelligent, fun, sexy and above all it offers you a great story.
Since Hollywood loves to shovel shit down our throats it's no surprise they were worried about placing a New Idea into the theatre's across America.
When it comes down to it, this film delivers. Brand new Characters, Brand new plots, brand new Actors (some of them). It's a breath of fresh air into the Halloween Horror Film.
I won't throw anything away as far as plot goes, but I have to admit, Director/Writer Michael Dougherty delivers a hit & the plot twists are superb.
I have been waiting the 2 yrs. to see this film, along with everyone else. Last Sunday, I was able to attend a screening at the New Beverly Cinema in LA presented by Bloody-Disgusting.com. Cast & Crew were in attendance along w/ a packed house of eager horror fans. What a great experience to feel the audience enjoying New Horror together.
I have to say the positive response to the film is completely accurate. You'll laugh & get a good scare all at the same time. Plus the character "Sam" is a great addition to horror. I figgin loved seeing the kid dressed up like this at the screening.
